What is a Maker Space?

A  Maker space is a space in the Library where students can gather to create, invent, and learn. This space will be used to let our imaginations fly as we see our projects come to life. Our space will be open to all grades Pre-K through 5. This space really encourages STEAM:

  • Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math

    • All Left-Brained

  • Adding the “A”, or Art, allows for right brain thinking

    • Creativity, Outside-the-box collaboration

Our Maker space is located in the Library. We  have maker space week once a month from Oct. until February.  Students are even more excited this year than last year about our Maker Space. Our students will be exposed to 21st century technologies that will assist them in becoming productive citizens of the future.
